 Not only do I love to wear vintage clothing, but I also love to decorate vintage.  Old trunks, suitcases, clothing used as art, vintage linens used as pillows, tablecloths, books,old containers filled with containers..........the possibilities are endless.  Below, I have included just a few pictures of how I incorporate vintage finds into my home.  I change things around or add new finds periodically so be sure to check back.  Also, if you have some ideas (preferably with pictures) send them in!

I collect trunks. This old mexican pine trunk is truly one of my favorite pieces. Great for kids and pets because knicks only add to the trunks charm. Our old couch was made over with a velvet slipcover.  Old chenille bedspreads (which can be dyed to match your interior) also work beautifully.
Here is another of my favorite trunks. This was passed down from my Ma'Dear.  Another passion of mine is candles. I often find neat containers on my buying trips and then have them filled with my favorite candle scents.
I truly consider vintage clothing to be art!
This antique orange leather chair was gotten in Alabama for a mere thirty bucks.  When I find vintage pieces that coordinate with it, they are often hung above the chair on wooden hangers to add whimsy.

 I love this antique record player, which still works.  I am often able to find some great vinyl records at yard sales and thrift stores.  I covered the player in a piece of vintage fabric and then placed alot of sentimental things on it. Most of what you see in this picture is antique or vintage.  The old photographs, flasks,  and antique glassware filled with scented candle all add to the nostalgic feeling.
  I believe  a home should reflect a person's individual personality.  Whether your sofa is of italian leather or a hand-me-down made over (like mine); it should reflect your spirit.
