Jambo! (Swahili for hello).
To those of you who know me already and to those who just happened to come
by, my name is Clarenda Bownes and I welcome you to my dream. Vesper's Vintage is the result of my lifelong love for vintage clothing; I scour
the globe for my vintage treasures. Parisian flea markets, Turkish bazaars,
African marketplaces, antique and thrift stores, yard and estate
sales........you name it, I have either been there or have plans to go.
I am a creative and happy soul who is blessed to be able to do something
that I love and get paid for it. I am a firm believer in following
your heart. If you can conceive it, then believe it. If you believe
it, then you will achieve it. That is my formula for life.
And I am living proof of it. And from my understanding, a sistah is setting precedents with this site so needless to say, I am very proud of Vesper's. I love everything from the flapper styles of the 20's to the oh-so-funky 70's ( I love the 70's!). Vintage clothing has always been a passion of mine....I remember as a young girl digging through my MaDear's trunks and closets to create the most
fascinating ensembles. It is a love that has only grown more over the years.
The originality, uniqueness, and quality of vintage clothing continues
to make vintage clothes an indispensable part of my wardrobe. Whether
you only have a vintage piece or two or go strictly vintage, you will find
that the character of vintage clothing is unsurpassable. My selection
is varied; I try to have something for everyone. However, if you
